Après une brillante tournée exceptionnelle en 2010 avec des dates particulièrement marquantes en Europe , Amérique du Nord et Amérique du Sud , La tournée Recoil ‘Selected Events’ revient cette année avec de nouvelles dates en Europe.
Dès à présent Alan présentera à nouveau une nouvelle version de son ‘A Strange Hour’ dans plusieurs villes en Europe.Si vous avez manqué un des concerts de la première partie, c’est maintenant l’occasion de rattraper le temps perdu , avec quelques changements sur le concert et des invités spéciaux .
Comme à son habitude Alan sera disponible pour les sessions de meet & greet , et de signatures après chaque concert .
Après le festival BTTP à Manchester en compagnie de Gary Numan & Motor, Les nouvelles dates commenceront à Vilnius, Lithuania au Forum Palace le Mardi 10 Mai et à Ventspils, Lettonie au The Centre of Performing Arts – “Juras Varti” le Mercredi 11 Mai.
Alan: “L’année dernière fut vraiment plaisante, et ce fut un vrai changement pour moi d’être aussi longtemps en tournée. Malgré tout il y a des lieux où nous n’avons pas pu aller pour différentes raisons et maintenant nous avons l’opportunité de combler ce manque, c’est pour quoi je suis content de pouvoir ajouter de nouvelles dates de la tournée . Nous aurons d’ici la , la soirée spéciale de Mute pour nous roder (avec peut être quelques surprises ) et ensuite nous irons vers ces deux villes que je n’ai jamais visité avant. Je suis vraiment content d’aller visiter la Lituanie et la Lettonie. Nous espérons pouvoir ajouter encore quelques nouvelles dates dans les semaines à venir.”

For the very final presentation of ‘A Strange Hour’, Alan and the Recoil team have decided to install an extra large, fully professional cinema screen & projector at the newly-renovated venue ‘Szikra’ in Budapest. The screen will measure a giant 8 x 5 meters and will cover the entire stage area. The performance is also planned to be filmed using multi-cameras and the latest high-definition technology in order to capture the event in its full glory. How and when ‘A Strange Hour’ will be released is yet to be determined but you can be sure that at some stage, you will see the culmination of a year’s work made available on some kind of DVD/Blu-ray format, perhaps as part documentary or maybe as a concert film.
Don’t miss the very last two shows of Recoil’s ‘Selected Events 2010′ tour coming up next weekend. We nearly missed a show ourselves on Monday when snow hit the roads hard and extended what should have been a quick drive from Berlin to Warsaw into a 14-hour marathon! Alan and the team eventually crawled in at 10pm, set up the gear without a soundcheck in front of a good-natured and expectant crowd, and then proceeded to perform immediately with (luckily) only a few minor hitches. We’re happy to say that those who braved minus 10 degrees to come out were rewarded & warmed by the end of the night, with everyone trudging home happily in the snow at around 3am.
Due to demand, another event has been added to the final Euro leg of Recoil’s ‘Selected Events’ tour. Poland has been asking for another show for some time now following the great evening back in April in Lodz. This time, ‘A Strange Hour’ will be presented in Warsaw at Progresja on 29th November.
Due to reasons which were completely out of our control, the Cordoba event in Argentina was unable to go ahead yesterday. Rumour has it that the local promoters failed to get the proper permissions from local authourites to clear the event in advance, and the police turned up to shut it down before it even got underway. The engagement was due to be held as a mini festival including three separate tents in an outdoor location. Recoil was scheduled to headline in the main tent. Our crew arrived in Cordoba in plenty of time but got word that the show was experiencing difficulties at 10pm when we were still waiting to set up our projection system and conduct a soundcheck. 2000-3000 people were expected to attend and we don’t have information at this time about how refunds will be handled.
